The Procurement Specialist will support Procurement leadership and is responsible for the identification of field and corporate supplier product and service needs and locating operational and financially viable solutions. The Specialist will also ensure that suppliers are held responsible and accountable for their contractual performance. Additionally, this position will act as the primary contact with suppliers as it pertains to the resolution of operational and financial issues, including the invoicing and payment processes. The Specialist is also responsible for administration of the internal Procurement purchasing platform known as Envi.

Additional responsibilities include interacting with and supporting internal clientele in all levels of the organization in the resolution of all supplier related issues, as well as, maintaining ongoing operational and reporting metrics for an identified subset of Concentra suppliers.

Responsibilities
    Provide leadership for all assigned supplier requirements/interactions. Identify, support and lead process improvement opportunities
  • Support Operations in defining their specific needs and requirement for new and evolving products and services
  • Support Procurement leadership in negotiating favorable supplier agreements as required; benchmark performance, evaluate for continued cost/quality improvement
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders/management across the Concentra enterprise, as well as outside vendors
  • Secure relationships and services which support Concentra's diversity initiatives

Qualifications

Education/Credentials

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent education and experience
  • In lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versa

Job-related Experience

  • Customarily has at least 7 years of Procurement related experience
  • Healthcare experience is a plus

  • Must have excellent problem solving, organizational, decision making and planning skills
  • The ability to successfully operate in a multi-task, high energy environment
