Job Description
AHBL is a multidisciplinary firm offering services in civil and structural engineering, planning, landscape architecture, and land surveying to public and private clients alike. We believe that through innovative planning, design, and engineering, we improve our communities and build collaborative partnerships one project at a time. We are looking for an entry-level Structural Project Engineer with sound technical abilities, strong communication skills, and a professional attitude to join us in our Tacoma office.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this role you will provide structural analysis and design on both new and renovation projects, including civic centers, industrial buildings, educational facilities, maintenance buildings, medical office buildings, mid-rise mixed-use developments, and military projects utilizing a full range of building materials. You will collaborate with a team of talented engineers to ensure client satisfaction on every project.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering
  • EIT Certification
  • 0-3 years of experience in structural analysis and design, including internship or related work
  • Knowledge of Steel, Concrete, and Wood Design
  • Familiarity with International Building Code and ASCE 7
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software
  • Masonry Design knowledge
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is dependent on which of our internal company levels the selected candidate aligns with. This role could be filled by candidates at either a Structural Project Engineer I or Structural Project Engineer II level, and the hiring team will determine which level is most appropriate for each candidate based on their relevant background and experience. Actual pay will be based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Ranges are based on a 40-hour work week.
  • Structural Project Engineer I - $67,725 - $80,004 per year
  • Structural Project Engineer II - $73,500 - $92,418 per year
  • Annual discretionary performance-based bonus.
