WAVE is currently looking for a Warehouse Coordinator to join our team!

The schedule is below (start times subject to change):

Mon-Thurs 2:45 PM- 10:45 PM

Fri 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM

This position is responsible for the material handling of finished goods throughout the facility; including both warehouse and production inventory areas. Performing the loading and unloading of goods from inbound and outbound carriers. In addition, the warehouse forklift position may be cross-trained in other production forklift functions to serve as reserve. A coordinator assumes elevated responsibility in that they must enforce the compliance of safety policies and procedures, direct activities to achieve performance targets, foster active communication between cross-functional departments, and accept accountability for housekeeping and housekeeping of work area.

Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the team.
  • Motivating the team to achieve organizational goals

  • Create a pleasant working environment that inspires the team.
  • Prepares parcels for shipping
  • Basic Computer Skills including but not limited to SCALE Manhattan, SAP
  • Responsible for inventory control and maintaining accuracy
  • Filing of M/S's, freight bills of lading
  • Attention to detail
  • Must have good communication skills, must be able to effectively communicate shipping/warehouse related information
  • Crosscheck/verify accuracy of orders built for shipment

General Forklift Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily forklift mechanical inspections (training provided); ensure that equipment is working properly
  • Safely transport finished goods to inventory warehouse and follow proper stacking procedures.
  • Load/unload coil, pallets and other material from flatbed and box trailers.
  • Verify accuracy of inbound/outbound paperwork against actual shipped materials and, where applicable, enter information into computer systems.
  • Follow pick lists and shipping invoices to prepare required number of units for shipment.
  • Develop load configuration for outbound carriers and following standard operating procedures for safe placement of finished goods or other material.
  • Maintain all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner; use proper lock-out procedures during repairs or machine adjustments. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and make certain that all safety equipment is in proper working order.
  • Perform these and other related duties as assigned or directed.
  • Actively participate in communication and WAVE culture.
  • Promote a safety culture aligned with 8-Step Safety Process, Think-Plan-Act and Risk Tolerance
  • Lead team in safety communication and corrective actions when necessary
  • Encourage teamwork and optimism in assigned department
  • Coach and develop employees; assist in training and provide candid and timely performance feedback
  • Accountable for productivity and quality metrics assigned to department
  • Contribute to Gemba and other lean managing systems
  • Completion of shift paperwork and reporting

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED

* Preferred; knowledge and experience of machines in manufacturing environment, or similar

* Preferred; forklift certification or 2+ years' experience in sit -down forklift/LP operation
