JOB TITLE: Facility Engineer

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Director, Stadium Operations

FLSA: Full-Time; Exempt


SUMMARY:

The Facility Engineer for St. Louis CITY SC Stadium Operations Department is responsible for the planning and monitoring facility operations of the St. Louis CITY District to ensure the maintenance, sustainability, safety, cleanliness, appearance and integrity of the building structures and building systems support a world class professional soccer stadium.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical leadership on all facility related structures and systems including, structural systems, roofs, floors, walls, doors, windows, furniture, fixtures, equipment, elevators, life safety, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, building controls systems, utilities such as gas, electricity, domestic water, and sewer, janitorial operations, waste and recycling material management to ensure that all St. Louis CITY SC District facilities are well maintained, safe and operated in a sustainable manner.

  • Leads sustainability efforts for St. Louis CITY SC. This position provides vison, direction and support for all St. Louis CITY SC sustainability efforts including efficient use of resources such as energy and water, minimizing landfill waste, maximizing reuse and recycling efforts, recording and tracking of sustainable operating data and coordination of third-party certification efforts such as LEEDS and ISO.
  • Manage and continually improve routine maintenance and custodial practices, policies and procedures using automated preventive maintenance management databases and systems.

  • Manage and implement energy and water management programs to provide history, trending and forecasting data analysis and implement energy and water conservation programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledgeable of the principles and techniques needed to successfully manage a world class professional sport facility.

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial technology, engineering, architecture sports management, business administration or related field.

  • Management experience in event and or venues management or related fields may be substituted at the rate of 2 years' experience for each year of college.

  • 10 or more years of sport facility management experience, preferably in managing maintenance and or sustainable operations.

Physical Effort
This position will require talking, listening, standing, and physical activity for long periods of time.

Out-of-Office Responsibilities

Must be able to work evenings, weekends, events, and holidays as required. This position will require flexibility of work schedule. Travel includes occasionally driving a motor vehicle, a valid driver's license with insurance is required.
