Who we are looking for:

Cornerstone Servicing is looking for a Foreclosure Oversight Analyst to join our team! The Foreclosure Oversight Analyst is responsible for monitoring and completing all activities related to foreclosure action in accordance with statutory compliance, regulatory compliance, and company guidelines. This position is responsible for managing foreclosure timelines and workflow processes on files in which a foreclosure action has been initiated. These files should be managed in accordance with established work rules, goals & objectives to improve timeline and attorney performance. The candidate will be expected to establish/maintain a culture of team collaboration, accountability, operational excellence, and unwavering commitment to customer service and satisfaction.

  • Location: Onsite daily in Galleria area of Houston, TX
  • Compensation: $55-65k/yr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service mortgage accounts to ensure the foreclosure is processed in compliance with all state and federal laws, while maintaining compliance with Investor, Insurer, Agency, and Company guidelines.
  • Ensure all eligible delinquent loans are breached by the required milestone(s)
  • Manage foreclosure proceedings on assigned cases by advising and instructing various parties involved with the foreclosure process such as mortgagors, attorneys, investors, insurers, trustees, and appraisers
  • Monitor attorney performance by reviewing all proceedings, records, and timeframes in addition to working all system activities throughout the foreclosure process
  • Perform detailed analysis on all aspects of the assigned portfolio including performance, timelines, overall characteristics, and status to ensure compliance of the foreclosure action
  • Diligently follow up on all outstanding requests and telephone calls from internal and external partners
  • Provide management detailed loss analysis, investor scenarios, and recommendations for resolution
  • Manages reports geared to drive workflow
  • Manages exception reporting used as key controls for minimizing risk
  • Follow departmental and business policies with strict adherence
  • Prioritize allocated work to ensure timely and accurate resolution to both external and internal partners
  • Perform related duties as assigned by manager
  • Incumbent will be responsible for meeting Servicer's commitment to compliance

What you'll need to be successful:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Minimum 3+ years of Foreclosure experience Preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years Mortgage Servicing Experience Preferred
  • GSE and Agency Experience Preferred
  • MSP and LoanSphere Experience Preferred
  • Knowledge of basic computer software programs including Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Strong time management and organizational skills a must
  • Requires an extreme attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines and procedures.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in addition to verbal/written communication in a clear, concise, and professional manner
