Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Produce the daily and weekly production schedules for final, sub-assembly and machining (Volume/Mix/Sequence)
- Utilize the Enterprise Resource System (ERP) Inventory Management System to manage inventory elements (receiving, shipping, supplier/customer communication)
- Daily follow-up and distribution follow up on VO shipments
- Support final balance outs and running changes to customers
- Manage change control functions to support quality and manufacturing capacity standards ('Trials, PPAP, PSW, etc.)
- Track daily shipping status, daily parts follow-up and min/max reporting to support production schedule
- Coordinate shipments to and from local supplies / warehouses
- Correct shipping transactions, monitor and validate production counts and scrap transactions
- Provide MP&L team with daily line-ups
- Perform cycle count analysis and control inventory cycle entry
- Coordinate special counts to assure actual physical inventory balances match inventory records
- Assist with plant cycle schedule and count confirmation.
- Respond to VO/PTO schedule changes, react/plan around quality, shipping, and schedule of supply chain
- Assist in managing bailment activities if necessary
- Assist in backing up MP&L salaried personnel as required in order to cover vacations, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience (2 - 5 years):
- Material Planning and Logistics experience desired
- Strong ability to interface with plant hourly and salaried personnel, logistics carriers, and production suppliers
- Proficient in computer applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
- Experience in Common Manufacturing Management System (CMMS) or similar ERP
- Ability to support any shift in a 7-day work pattern
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- React well under pressure and be able to work under crisis management
- Strong analytical skills and quick decision-making capability
- Candidate must be flexible to significant travel during initial plant start-up phase
- Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors consisting of outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
- Education: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics, Material Planning and Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
- Plant experience is desired but not required
- Knowledge of Ford Production System (lean manufacturing) is desired, but not necessary

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
