About the Opportunity:
A family-owned manufacturing company located in Louisburg, NC is seeking an HR Manager to lead our client's HR functions. Our client is seeking an HR professional to be the advocate for their employees, with a focus on employee relations and compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Know and understand employee engagement metrics, drivers, and implications; develop action plans accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with employees and all supervisors and managers in the organization
  • Identify retention risks and implement strategies to mitigate risks while coaching others on ways to engage and retain key talent.
  • Develop talent acquisition plans that anticipate short and long-term business needs.
  • Advocate employee communications processes that inform employees as well as to assure two-way communications between employees and management
  • Responsible for people development, individual and team performance, and coaching.
  • Provide guidance and direction to business leaders on human resource management policies, processes, and systems.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of all company Human Resource policies, goals, and procedures, and communicate to and enforce consistently with all employees.
  • Assure HR and business practices are compliant with legal requirements in the areas of employment and employment administration.
  • Recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
  • Counsel and assist employees with problems and questions relating to personnel policies and procedures.
  • Assist in review of all disciplinary actions, to ensure consistency.
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Assure that annual employee job performance assessments are conducted; facilitate calibration processes to help drive objectivity and consistency.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree
  • 4+ years of HR experience
  • Manufacturing industry required
  • Knowledge of OSHA compliance
  • Ability to take initiative, own issues and problem-solve solutions
  • Ability to organize, plan and manage time effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational skills

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
