OUR TEAM: Our Materials Management team is comprised of 20 individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Our collaborative team is responsible for planning production at our Madison, WI facilities as well as the planning for global distribution of our products to our nine distribution branches around the world. In addition to planning responsibilities, our team leads and supports a variety of projects throughout Operations, helping drive efficiencies and process improvements.

YOUR ROLE: As an Operations Business Analyst, you will work on projects with our Global Support Services, Instrumentation, and Materials Management teams. You will collaborate cross-functionally to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions that drive business performance. Your role will involve analyzing data, generating insights, and making data-driven recommendations to support strategic decisions. You will engage with a diverse group of stakeholders, facilitating and managing projects that contribute to our goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence.


CORE DUTIES:

1. Analyze global operations to assess, identify, and implement process improvement opportunities including standardization of best practices.

2. Design, develop, test, and/or evaluate integrated systems for managing production processes including production flow and throughput, human factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, and cost analysis.

3. Utilize continuous improvement lean tools, methodologies, and training. Act as a coach and mentor, where applicable.

4. Project Management - initiate and coordinate intradepartmental and cross-departmental projects, as necessary. Provide support or manage projects and complete project objectives in a timely and efficient manner.

5. Perform departmental reporting and apply statistical methods in the identification and development of metrics, KPI's, and measurement systems for global and local applications.

6. Ensure product quality - work cross functionally to implement designs and process improvements. Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrence of chronic or severe quality problems. Ensure compliance to ISO and Quality System Requirements.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

1. BA/BS in Business, Engineering, or science related field.

2. Experience in an operations and/or manufacturing environment.

3. Outstanding organizational ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and projects.

4. Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration expertise with experience in taking a leadership role in team or project activities.

5. Strong ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Demonstrated proficiency with ERP and IT systems.

2. Experience with process improvement implementation using Lean methods. This includes applying lean thinking and Six Sigma tools and methodologies within a manufacturing environment to yield improvements in cost, quality, and efficiency.

3. Experience working in QSReg/cGMP/FDA regulated industry (Life Sciences, Medical Device, and/or pharmaceutical industries).

4. Experience or familiarity with ISO13485, ISO9001, TQM, and SPC.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Ability to work with computers.

2. Ability to lift 50-pound objects.

3. Ability to occasionally work with hazardous chemicals and biologicals.

4. Ability to wear protective gear (gloves, lab coat, safety glasses).
