In support of HVAC development programs, the Engineering Technician installs, tests, calibrates, and repairs electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards.

A Day in the Life:

  • Conducts testing and calibration procedures per company standards in support of HVAC development programs as directed.
  • Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory instrumentation to test and evaluate HVAC equipment.
  • Analyzes, diagnosis and modifies systems to support extensive R & D programs with direction from senior staff members.
  • Proactively engages in safe working habits following the applicable standards.
  • Supports technical center initiatives by assisting with projects as assigned.
  • Maintains effective communication with project team to assure performance of duties.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work areas and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss.

What you will Bring:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three years of related work experience is required.
  • Two-year technical degree in a related field is preferred.
