Are you ready to make an impact? Our Transportation & Municipal Engineering team is expanding, and we're on the lookout for a talented Project Engineer to join our ranks.

General responsibilities include:
- Perform and lead engineering design tasks for transportation and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Prepare contract plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Prepare feasibility, safety, and geometric design studies; develop project reports.
- Lead and coordinate design activities between staff, clients, and subconsultants.
- Support project managers to ensure that projects meet established schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Train and mentor junior design staff, coop students, and interns.
- Work closely with other V3 service lines on multi-discipline projects.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals for new project pursuits.
- Handle client relations as needed.
- Attend industry networking events on behalf of V3.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications That Shine:
- Must be a degreed Civil Engineer.
- 7+ years of design experience on projects for clients that include IDOT, Illinois Tollway, Chicago DOT, County DOT's, and local municipalities.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to direct and supervise staff engineers and CAD technicians.
- Microstation/OpenRoads Designer proficiency (3D modeling experience a plus).
- Illinois PE license required.
