Spectra Tech is in need of an Java Developer II for a position in Aiken, SC.

Duties: The purpose of the position is to provide support to the Business System IT department.

Functions included but not limited to:

* Using an Agile development methodology, develop and maintain applications that support the company business departments (i.e., Accounting, Procurement, Human Resources, Projects Controls, etc.)

* Develop interfaces between enterprise systems and in-house applications.

* Perform initial developer testing and, working with the customers and Business Analyst, resolve issues that arise during user acceptance testing.

* Support QA Analyst in developing fully documented test plan.

Required Qualifications:

Experience/Skills:

* Demonstrated experience and success in application development, test plan development, testing, production turnover and documentation

* Candidate must be a Java developer with at least 3 years' experience using:

o Java

o Servlets and JSPs

o Maven

o Eclipse

o JavaScript

o HTML

o XML

o CSS

o SQL data manipulation

o Secure coding techniques

* Experience in the following is preferred but not required

o jQuery

o Tomcat

o Open Source Libraries

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent field with a minimum of 3 years of experience

Associates Degree in computer science or equivalent field with a minimum of 5 years of experience

High School Diploma with minimum of 7 years of experience

Communication:

Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills. Teamwork skills are important in the highly matrixed project environment.

Work Hours:

A work week will be up to 40 hours based on assigned schedule. Work week excludes SRS holidays. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch.

Area Security Access:

A security clearance is not required.
