Overview

The Product Manager leads the development, implementations, enhancements and maintenance of the overall product lines and acts as the subject matter expert (SME). This position partners with marketing, sales, product, Services and Support and technology associates to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, to ensure continuity in product offerings and alignment with the organization's strategies. Focus will be on commercial payment with credit card.


Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of product line development, new product launch and product changes, including product configuration, testing, development of procedures and training.
  • Maintain a high level of product and process knowledge.
  • Identify gaps and recommend new or existing product changes and enhancements that improve market position, client experience, quality, efficiencies, and expense management.
  • Lead efforts around market research and client engagement to ensure products and services are aligned with bank strategies.
  • Collaborate with other Product team members to maintain Product Roadmap initiatives and prioritization.
  • Identify product issues and work with internal partners and/or vendors to identify root cause and resolution.
  • Create project proposals and business cases for new and existing products.
  • Monitor core vendor driven changes, measure and manage impact as well as communicate changes appropriately.
  • Consult with market leaders on project strategy, direction, quantitative measures, and changes.
  • Track, report, and communicate key project milestones and recommend adjustments as needed for on time and on budget completion of product implementations and enhancements.
  • Manage assigned products; address any issues and mitigate product risks.
  • Manages products to accommodate organization priorities based on business need, resource capacity, risk and cost.
  • Own assigned products and work with market leaders and/or vendors to ensure resolution to any challenges and resolve any conflicts.
  • Analyze and interpret product related data; communicate data to influence business decisions and actions; drive product adoption.
  • Understand the profitability of each product and their associated costs; promote products to markets and help clients understand the value add to their business processes.
  • Create management reports that can be used to measure success and needs for improvement as well as any ad-hoc reports as necessary.
  • Attend industry conferences, remain current on new industry product offerings and create and present pertinent information to markets.
  • Coordinate and engage with the compliance and audit partners to ensure a controlled, documented, and compliant product launch/implementation.
  • Maintain all necessary product and project documentation (vendor documentation, quotes, statements of work and vendor comparison) and update as necessary.
  • Maintain product specifications as well as the associated policies and procedures during the life of the product.
  • Create and maintain product demos and test accounts.
  • Identify and create internal and external client communication pertaining to product and service announcements.
  • Provide timely and accurate information and documentation in compliance with relevant laws, Bank regulations, industry best practices and Bank policies and procedures.
  • Work with Bankers as well as Service teams to identify training needs and partner to create needed educational content.
  • Support Product Management team members and act as a back-up when necessary.
  • Partner with Analysis Product Manager to lead Product pricing strategy discussions.
  • Partner with clients, prospects and the sales team to identify client needs and opportunities to solve market problems.
  • Act as a project lead for all new Banks and acquisitions ensuring successful integration into CrossFirst Bank organization, systems, and operational excellence.
  • Maintain quality of service by enforcing quality and client service standards; analyze and resolve quality and client service problems; identify trends; recommend system and process improvements.
  • Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service.
  • Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients and vendors.
  • Represent the Bank and Product team in a highly professional manner.
  • Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work.
  • Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance; both onsite and remote work.

Qualifications

  • Five years of product management experience is preferred.
  • Proficient technical skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity of Microsoft Project and Visio is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of bank products and systems, including regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Working knowledge of FIS core processing and related systems is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a proactive approach to assignments, manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience, preferably in a commercial bank environment.
