Job Description

Macquarie Group is offering an exciting opportunity for a full-stack developer to join a front-office team supporting trading applications. This is a client-facing and highly visible role supporting commodities traders in both Houston and Macquarie's global locations.

You will work alongside stakeholders and the engineering team to uplift existing applications and develop new solutions. You will be engaged in all phases of software development: design, implementation, testing, release and application support. We have a people-centered culture, which means we want to hear your ideas. You will be empowered to research, evaluate and present recommendations for software solutions.

We're looking for someone with the following experience and skills to join our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3+ years' experience in server-side development (e.g., Java, Python, C#)
  • 3+ years of UI development using JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience building RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with SQL and database systems
  • Strong understanding of design patterns, data structures and algorithms
  • Willingness to work directly with end users and own product end-to end
  • Ability to navigate custom business workflows and modernize DevOps processes
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks to support the traders and other business users
  • Agile methodology and practices
  • Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies

It will be additionally helpful if you have the following skills/experience:

  • Financial trading systems
  • AWS Cloud platform
