Overview

The PT/OT aide provides assistance to the overall organization and effectiveness of the department by providing coordination and organization of departmental supplies, performing patient transport and assisting therapists with patient interventions, and assisting with assessment and monitoring of pool chemicals and maintain a safe environment. Therapy aide is also responsible for safe operations of the department including maintaining departmental safety records, providing staff education and information on safety matters. The therapy aides supervises PT/OT volunteers and assist with PT/OT student aide supervision when requested.

Responsibilities
    Cleaning and organization for safe clinic environment.
  • Maintains and organizes departmental supplies and equipment.
  • Assists in maintenance of a safe environment, provides education to staff on safety policies, identifies safety concerns and plans remediation, and promotes efficiency of operations.
  • Evaluates and maintains pool and medical spa chemical levels, provides supervision on pool deck and assists therapists when requested with patient treatment in the pool.
  • Provides office support and back-up for Front Office staff as needed.
  • Patient transport and assisting therapists with direct patient care when requested and direct patient supervision for patients in medical spa.
Qualifications
  • HS diploma or equivalent and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training Previous experience with pediatrics or in the health care field including public interactions, multitasking activities, professionalism, good judgment and decision making skills.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $17.00/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
