In Information Technology Services, our teams are responsible for defining, developing, supporting, and evolving the technology-related services needed by the SEI in the pursuit of its overarching mission. We provide the Institute with a current, reliable, and secure infrastructure.
Position Summary:
We're seeking a Compliance Systems Administrator to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining our systems. As a member of the Systems Engineering team in IT Services, you'll have the opportunity to contribute directly to our success in our mission of supporting our research organization.
Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or related discipline with at least 2-3 years of experience; MS in the same fields with 1 year of experience
Familiarity with multiple operating systems including Windows, Linux, and macOS.
Flexible to travel to other SEI offices in Pittsburgh and Washington, DC, sponsor sites, conferences, and offsite meetings on occasion.
You will be subject to a background investigation

Duties:
Ensuring Proper Configuration: You'll be responsible for setting up and configuring systems to run smoothly. Your diligence will help us maintain optimal performance.
Keeping Systems Compliant You will proactively apply updates, patches, and fixes to keep our systems secure and compliant. You'll maintain the integrity of our systems.
Accurate Inventory Management: Your record-keeping and attention to detail will ensure that we always know the current state of hardware and software assets.
Collaboration: You will work closely with members of your team and colleagues across the organization troubleshooting issues, providing technical support, and contributing fresh ideas.
Documentation and Process Management: You'll help to keep our documentation current and create and refine process to help with the complete system lifecycle.
