Job Description

Krispy Kreme is seeking a talented US Shop Designer to join our team. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our stores, ensuring they reflect our brand ethos while meeting practical requirements. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Architectural Innovation, you'll contribute to creating inviting spaces that resonate with our customers.

A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Review and interpret existing conditions, constraints, and opportunities from provided as-built drawings and photos for conversions.
  • Produce Equipment Plans for new and remodeled shops using AutoCAD and Global Design guidelines.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in project delivery, adhering to established standards.
  • Implement basic ADA codes into plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to incorporate their requirements into Equipment Plans.
  • Redline revisions for Equipment Plans based on internal reviews using Bluebeam.
  • Prepare Design Packages for submission to Global Design review.
  • Monitor project milestones using Smartsheet.
  • Coordinate with vendors for sign, millwork, and graphics packages.
  • Provide existing and recommend new finishes to Facilities Team.
  • Develop and maintain AutoCAD smart blocks library from FF&E specifications.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Equipment Teams to maintain the accuracy and currency of the FF&E Standards Smartsheet, ensuring it reflects the latest specifications and requirements.
  • Ensure the organization and maintenance of project files align with established folder structure standards, facilitating efficient access and retrieval of information for team members.
  • Render exterior elevations using Photoshop.
  • Provide design support for equipment rollouts.


YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or similar field.
  • 2+ years of experience in retail store design in the restaurant or retail industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft 365 (Revit and Sketchup skills are advantageous).
  • Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or restaurant design within a development organization.
  • Ability to communicate design principles and solutions effectively through various mediums.
  • Familiarity with architectural details, construction standards, specifications, building codes and health codes.
