Overview

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Perform as Staff Chief for the support functions of the directorate, enabling directorate's test and evaluation (T&E) operations and fulfillment of non-T&E requirements.
* The Staff Chief acts on behalf of the Director to fulfill specific objectives and under broad guidance, exercises initiative to produce tangible results.
* Provides leadership to contractor and sub-contractor teams in accordance with existing procedures, applicable laws, and government requirements.
* Provides input on the development and establishment of policies and procedures.
* Lead, manage, and orchestrate the actions of a directorate support staff of approximately 45 employees who support approximately 450 engineers and technicians working in six T&E functional divisions that are geographically dispersed.
* Routinely interact with directorate Government paygrade GS-15 Director, GS-14 Chief Engineer, and GS-14 Division Chiefs to manage the contracted support staff to meet directorate's dynamically changing needs.
* Interact and coordinate actions with Higher Headquarters Center Support Directorate (CSD) GS-15 Director, CSD functional areas support staff sections' GS-14 and GS-13 chiefs as well as their staffs.
* Prepare, or review, and make recommendations for changes to, executive-level correspondence, briefs, presentations, and other material.
* Professional user of Microsoft's Office 365 suite of software and applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), as well as SharePoint, and of Adobe Pro.
* Professional communication, verbally and in writing to widely varied audiences up to the executive level.
* Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

    Shall have a Bachelors Degree in a technical, science, or business discipline from an accredited college with ten (10) years of DoD or Army regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines experience.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in a supervisory or management role, prior military a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (familiar with U.S. Army Regulation 25-50).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.

Salary
$55.29-57.69/hourly
