SRG Global is looking for a Category Manager (Outsourcing) to join our team in Troy, MI!
In this role you will be responsible for category spend focused on outsourcing of manufacturing process (Painting, coating, molding, sequencing/kitting, etc.). As part of the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Direct Materials team, you will be responsible for category management, supplier management, strategic category sourcing, project execution, and the development and implementation of category strategies across cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do
- Build partnerships with key stakeholders across the business
- Develop and work with cross-functional teams to understand the categories, supply chain, processes, requirements, key drivers, risks and economics
- Develop category sourcing strategies
- Improve efficiencies/effectiveness/agility through advance use of technology
- Develop and articulate metrics/KPIs that measure performance, total cost of ownership (TCO) and profitability
- Define supplier expectations, review performance and align on priorities
- Develop and manage preferred partnership agreements
- Identify, prioritize and manage ideas on value creation
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in sourcing, sales, operations, purchasing or engineering
- Experience in contracting and/or contract execution
- Willing and able to travel as required (up to 25%, primarily domestically)
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain or Business Management
- Experience with manufacturing, maintenance, or operations within the Automotive Industry
- Experience leading through influence
