Position Summary

In the Biographical Coordinator role, you will serve as a point person for data entry updates for all internal and external users (donors, alumni, etc.) of the Blackbaud CRM (FELIX) database. You will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of biographical data. You will work to ensure that biographical data is maintained according to policy and procedures and will be expected to proactively inform your supervisor of data inaccuracies and enhancement opportunities as they arise. The Biographical Coordinator must always demonstrate utmost respect for the confidentiality of the information in which they are entrusted. You will be expected to act with honesty, integrity and accountability in every effort you undertake on behalf of the UConn Foundation.

In this role, you will:

  • Update FELIX with changes to biographical data associated with all research products produced by the Research Department, while ensuring timely data entry with a high level of accuracy.
  • Co-manage the biographical project log. Add and distribute projects as needed and will coordinate with the Director of Advancement Services to ensure all projects are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Enhance and improve the overall integrity of data in the CRM database. This includes, but is not limited to, monitoring anomaly reports and correcting inaccurate data. Complete routine reviews of data entry completed by Gift and Pledge Management and student staff to ensure a high level of accuracy. Alert managers of entry errors and recommend or provide additional training when needed.
  • Serve as primary liaison with Foundation and University staff to manage biographical update requests to the database. Possess a strong knowledge of the Foundation's data confidentiality policy and alert the Director of Advancement Services when inappropriate requests for data are received.
  • Research, analyze, and update biographical donor records in response to information received through various internal and external sources. Assist in basic research as required.
  • Coordinate and create new account set-up and process changes for FELIX users.
  • Coordinate timely collection of various internal UConn board affiliations and incorporate data into the FELIX database ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review biographical processes and procedures to recommend improvements that will increase accuracy and/or efficiency in the biographic area.
  • Process FELIX merge requests as needed.
  • Handle batch constituent uploads in partnership with Gift and Pledge Management team on a project-basis.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Blackbaud CRM data entry and/or other fundraising databases.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced skills with MS Office suite of products, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Salary:

The expected salary for this position is $50,000. It will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also placing an emphasis on internal equity.
