HR GENERALIST
Reporting Relationship:
The HR Generalist will report directly to the Director of Finance & Accounting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Payroll and Benefit Administration:
Processing semi-monthly payroll. Collect, analyze, compute, and process payroll personnel and compensation data through Paylocity for semi-monthly. Process weekly payroll for Household employees.

  • Calculate salary adjustments, retro payments, overtime, deduction adjustments and garnishments. Create/run custom payroll reports as needed

  • Track and Manage Paid Time Off and Leave of Absence programs.

  • Manages the administration and annual renewal negotiations and subsequent open enrollment of the company's benefit programs for health, dental, vision, flexible spending plan, supplemental insurance plans, and 401(k) retirement plan.

  • Provides day-to-day benefits administration services to employees

  • Plan Administrator for the 401(k) plans including 5500 preparation and assisting employees with enrollment paperwork.

  • Administer workers' compensation and safety programs.

Employee Relations and Staffing:

  • Provide guidance in regards to performance management standards and evaluation processes.

  • Formulates, recommends and implements Human Resources policies and procedures in accordance with governmental laws and regulations.

  • Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship promoting strong employee morale and engagement.

  • Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.

  • Prepares and maintains Employee Handbooks and HR Policies and Procedures for multiple Companies.

  • Manage onboarding/off-boarding procedures and practices, including training.

  • Maintain employee personnel files for all MIG entities.

  • Work with hiring managers on the maintenance/creation of job descriptions. Assist in the evaluation of hiring needs; source and work with agencies to identify candidates.

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

  • Bachelor Degree and 6-10 years of human resource generalist experience

  • Professional human resource designation preferred

  • Highly engaged self-starter and team player with superb interpersonal skills

  • Ability to use good judgment, discretion with sensitive and confidential issues, projects, and information; ability to take initiative, apply analytical reasoning and problem solve.

  • Ability to partner with Executives in a fast paced entrepreneurial work environment.

  • Experience in working with Paylocity HRIS/payroll

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
