PRIMARY FUNCTION
Early career designers join HED with passions for collaboration, critical thinking, professional-growth, and great design, and gain exposure to multiple market sections including Mission Critical, Healthcare, Housing, PreK-12 schools, Higher Education, Government and Science and Technology. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, excels working in a hybrid work environment under the supervision of a Project Architect, is nimble and enjoys applying his/her/their talents through all phases of the project, from its earliest stages through construction administration. HED is looking designers interested in a varied experience that includes applying their graphic skills to project work, pursuits, model building, and competitions, while homing their technical skills on project assignment
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
SKILL, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Architecture (4-year) degree
Commitment to taking the ARE
Interest in and enthusiasm for sustainable design strategies.
Level of experience from newly graduated to five years
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong organizational skills
Proficient in Rhino and preferred experience in BIM software, such as Revit
Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible
Ability to work well with others under deadline situations
