The Warehouse Manager and coordinates to meet and facilitate safety, production, sustainability and quality standards. Provides leadership and management to improve the operational efficiencies within the department and interacts with other departments to achieve company's core strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages Shipping Department to ensure effective and efficient operation of equipment and availability of necessary resources.
  • Manages, oversees, and trains associates on all departmental procedures, quality procedures and all related work instructions, safety, performance reviews, personnel issues, training, and company policies.
  • Drives department process improvements.
  • Researches and utilizes low-cost providers for freight costs.
  • Coordinates and communicates with different departments and customers to ensure timely shipment of product and forecasting product shipments.
  • Processes and posts all related documents necessary for packing, billing inventory and ship dates.
  • Must be certified to operate all powered industrial equipment (IE: forklifts; scissor lift; etc).
  • Manages payroll and time collection functions. This includes processing and/or submitting all forms on a timely basis.
  • Ensures compliance with established facility safety policies and procedures and other regulations (IE: ISO, GMA SAFE, HAACP) as applicable.
  • Interacts and behaves professionally. Treats all associates respectfully and professionally while maintaining company code of ethics.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree: or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of distribution and logistics, methods and practices required.
  • Must have knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, and proficient in Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.

  • Work Conditions include regularly required to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, stoop, squat, crawl, and kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasionally travels as necessary.
