Overview

Waters Corporation is currently seeking a hybrid (3 days/week in office) Human Resources Advisor to join our HR Operations Organization. Reporting directly to the HR Operations Director, Americas, the Human Resources Advisor will focus on providing consultative services and expertise within a shared services model across the Americas (LATAM and other designated business units in the U.S.). The broad ranges of HR offerings include but are not limit to: Leave of Absence/Benefits Coordination for the U.S. in conjunction with counseling managers and employees on performance, compensation, implementing HR initiatives and projects. Candidates applying to this role must have a college degree in related field and some work experience. We will train and mentor. Aspects of the role include:

    Contributing to the growth & success of the HR Operations Model.
  • Performs exceptional customer service and assistance to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Providing consultative services and expertise to select employee population and corresponding HRBP's.
  • Provide coaching in area(s) of responsibility to contribute to HR Operations Management of strategic planning, problem solving and overall direction of the HR service delivery model.
  • Responsible for consistent and efficient delivery of a broad range of HR services and CoE programs for the organization. May have a particular focus or expertise in an area of HR.
  • Services and programs are in compliance with local policies and procedures for the region.
  • Provides consultation, guidance, and coaching to managers in areas such as leave of absence, policy interpretation, etc.
  • Ensure consistent interpretation and application of employment policies and practices.
  • The HR Advisor will oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention, particularly those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws, and short-term or long-term disability plans.
  • Communicates with employees regarding their needs for leave and/or modified work schedules. Ensures that employees are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for the leave and workers' compensation programs in alignment and under the general direction and guidance of HR leadership and the legal counsel.
  • Manages the LOA process from the employee's initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work. This includes providing the employee with our cur LOA vendor information on 'how to apply' for FMLA or STD.
  • Maintains reasonable communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return to work; relays communication between employees and their managers during leave within reason.
  • Oversees the return-to-work process for employees returning from extended FMLA, workers compensation, or other leave(s).
  • Responsible for continuous process improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Builds strong partnerships to foster trust and accountability with all stakeholder.

Qualifications
  • University degree in Business Management, Operations, Human Resources or related field.
  • Approximately 2 years' experience demonstrating multi-tasking and strong customer service skills.
  • Ability (and prior experience) to prioritize tasks, ask clarifying questions, surface issues, and ensure that work is completed accurately and timely.
  • Ability to effectively present information.
  • Ability to influence behaviors across team and inspire results.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Customer focused.
  • Strong team player and ability to be agile.
