WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
* Support HR initiatives and engagement activities that enhance the human connection, foster relationships, grow successful teams, and reinforce our values and culture including assisting teams with celebrating retirements, work anniversaries and other major life events.
* Assist with various HR projects and initiatives, such as engagement, performance management, and talent acquisition.
* Aid in the facilitation of segment Human Resources processes such as onboarding, benefit administration, pay reviews, training, performance management and off boarding.
* Coordinate with managers on the tasks, projects and trainings necessary to create an engaging orientation program and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
* Support coaching on a variety of actions to include employee relations issues, policy interpretation and application; talent management and development.
* Partner with Payroll; HRIS; and Compensation and Benefits functions as needed to provide solutions for employee questions.
* Facilitate effective delivery of employee communications, including announcing organization changes, new hires, key initiative updates, and nVent and Segment news.
* Provide administrative and operational support to segment HR leadership team and HR business partners around the globe.

YOU HAVE:
* Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
* Ideally, you will have 2 or more years of experience in Human Resources.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS Systems.
* Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
* Knowledge of state and federal employment law including HR technical knowledge of EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, unemployment and worker's compensation preferred
