Job Description

The Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the seamless coordination of warehouse operations and logistics activities. This position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational expertise to ensure efficient warehouse management includes receiving, put-away, cycle count, Warehouse storage, timely distribution of materials for production, Sales and service shipments and optimized warehouse storage processes with multiple warehouse locations.

Duties

  • Oversee Shipping and Receiving process to ensure accurate and timely shipping and receiving of materials to warehouse.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities, including transportation, freight forwarding, and customs clearance.
  • Verify and inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, quality, and compliance with purchase, sales, and service orders.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Suppliers, Sales and Customers to resolve discrepancies or issues with Shipping and Received goods.
  • Develop and implement storage strategies to optimize space utilization and accessibility.
  • Maintain an organized warehouse layout, ensuring products are stored in designated locations.
  • Oversee the implementation of inventory management systems and technologies for accurate tracking.
  • Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.
  • Streamline warehouse processes to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
  • Negotiate contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers to ensure cost-effective transportation solutions.
  • Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of warehouse equipment and systems.
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving, storage, and shipping operations.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including receiving clerks, pickers, packers, and shipping coordinators.
  • Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork, accountability, and safety.
  • Ensure staff compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and best practices.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to warehouse operations.
  • Provide ongoing training to staff on safety procedures and proper equipment handling.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track operational performance and drive continuous improvement efforts.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role, with a track record of success in optimizing operations and leading teams.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management practices, warehouse procedures, and logistics operations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage team members.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and familiarity with inventory tracking systems.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols for warehouse operations.
  • Minimum education of an associates degree.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22C.F.R. *120.15 are required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee. License exception Technology and software under restriction (TSR) defined in 15 CFR 740.6 may permit a person from Country Group B.
