Summary

The Accounts Payable Clerk is a member of the finance team. This person will be responsible for processing a high volume of vendor invoices in accordance with department policies and procedures, as well as other related tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Must be able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Must have good basic computer skills, as well as advanced knowledge of Excel.
  3. Must be very structured and detail oriented.
  4. Must be able to process a high volume of vendor invoices daily, with a very high degree of accuracy.
  5. Must be able to communicate clearly and work well with other departments as well as outside vendors.
  6. Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience

  • Either a two or four year degree, with a background in Accounting or Finance, is preferred.

There are no travel requirements for this position.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, requisitions, and vendor invoices.

Reasoning Ability

Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Excel and Microsoft AX.
