The Senior Design Lead - Discipline is responsible for leading
for the team on a project in regard to the scope, schedule, and
budgets for tool designs in their assigned functional
area(s).The Senior Design Lead is also responsible working in a
team environment consisting of architects, engineers and
designers.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Produces construction documents for various facility
systems: piping, ductwork, process systems, clean room and
general tool requirements
- Facilitates design review meetings
- Manages complex open issues to closure
- Builds strong knowledge of the Project and Client
- Manages and reviews stakeholder comments for inclusion in
the design packages
- Leads all aspects of the design process within their team,
from designer(s) to QA to scheduler, escalating help needed
items and issues to the Design Manager or Senior Design Manager
- Understands the Scope of Work (SOW)
- Reviews At Risk Notices for escalating issues to the client
that may delay the deliverable or Design
- Change Notices for scope changes that require additional
funding
- Aligns with the Design Lead on the response and information
for Design Revision and Construction Support activities
- Participates and facilitates in the development of new
processes or training materials as needed to aid the team and
project
- Provide backup and coverage for other Design Leads as
needed.
- Coordinates with other Senior Design Leads and Design leads
in the preparation and development of the deliverables and
ensuring those other disciplines' inputs are incorporated
- Other duties as assigned

Show your expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
- 10+ years working in Design, Engineering, Construction or
Tool Install projects
- Experience working within a team environment
- Experience in the quality control review process
- Experience contributing to continuous improvement processes
- Experience leading a team to a successful outcome
- Advanced Technology experience preferred
- Organized and detail-oriented with the capacity to maintain
information confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to mentor and train junior staff
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Autodesk Building Systems Software - Preferred
