Civil/Municipal Engineer

Type: Full Time

Location: Minneapolis, MN

MARS Solutions is looking for a Civil/Municipal Engineer for a permanent job opportunity in Minneapolis, MN.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project engineering and management, including setting priorities, developing objectives, and managing project finances, with active participation in the design process.
  • Act as a technical resource for site civil team members.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced staff members.
  • Engage in business development activities, such as preparing proposals, conducting project interviews and presentations, and managing client relationships.
  • Participate in professional society activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing and managing various site development projects, municipal roadways, and utility projects, with knowledge of MnDOT being advantageous. Candidates with more experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in stormwater management design and permitting regulations.
  • Expertise in municipal utility design, including sanitary sewers and water mains.
  • Strong ability to mentor staff and effectively lead a project team.
  • Capability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary and architect-led team on large projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Minnesota; PE licenses in other Midwest states are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of successful interactions with clients and internal team members.
  • Proficient in hydrology and hydraulic software; experience with GIS software is a plus.
  • Competency in Autodesk Civil3D is also desired.
