SUMMARY:

This position is a(n) Exempt position, supporting the ARNG 16 AF SPPFS. The Science and Technology (S&T) Innovation Analyst supports missions and functions for 16 AF Service needs and Air Forces Cyber (AFCYBER).

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and scientific advancements that could industry capabilities that could be introduced within AFCYBER to enhance commanders' operational abilities
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on new technologies, market trends, and competitive landscapes
  • Develop and implement innovation strategies to leverage new technologies and scientific discoveries for cyber capabilities to include cyber platforms/infrastructure, software applications, and/or cloud-based solutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, product development, and marketing, to integrate innovative solutions.
  • Support the development and testing of prototypes for new products and technologies.
  • Use understanding of telephony, on-net cyber capability and off-net cyber capability to evaluate S&T capabilities for operational relevancy
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on research findings, innovation opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements in science and technology to identify, assess, and recommend technology capabilities relevant to AFCYBER requirements
  • Develop presentations to A8 leadership as well as HQ leadership to inform on critical timelines, operational and/or funding limitations that could impact development, test, delivery and integration of capabilities where GO level engagement may be required

QUALIFICATIONS:

3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on technology and innovation

Project Management experience, preferred

Cyber Experience, preferred

Experience in a research and development environment and familiarity with innovation frameworks and methodologies, preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline

Certifications in relevant fields (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma), preferred
