Key Account Manager- Midwest

To drive continued success in this exciting Medical Device field, we are seeking a TITLE AND TERRITORY to join our winning team.

Essential Functions and Position Specifications:

  • Develop and maintain strong, preferred relationships with Key Account customers
    1. Regularly visit corporate headquarters and regional offices of Catalog Distributors to build strategic relationships that lead to a national preference for Mindray
    2. Penetrate the VPs and Managers of partnership programs and new business development to become known, provide value, gain further access, and conduct business reviews
    3. Acquire a thorough understanding of specific needs, pain points, and requirements
    4. Build trust by solving problems and handling complaints/suggestions
    5. Prepare regular progress reports of KPIs and forecasts by utilizing key account metrics

  • Present "Why Mindray" weekly to Catalog Distributors' executives across the country. Update the presentation each quarter demonstrating market penetration, sales growth, Mindray team members, and quarterly initiatives
    1. Coach Catalog Distributors' leaders and sales teams on the delivery of "Why Mindray"
    2. Identify what's working and collaborate with Catalog Distributors to share success stories with their sales teams

  • Own the achievement of the annual sales target for each of the Catalog Distributors
    1. Track sales orders in coordination with Sales Support and Finance
    2. Communicate progress with the Distribution Sales Manager team and Marketing
    3. Conduct monthly business reviews with the Catalog Distributors' sales teams and leaders
    4. Develop strategies to replicate best practices and address sales deficits
    5. Compensation will have a variable component that will be based on the achievement of the annual sales targets

  • Drive trade show participation and invitations for Mindray from the Catalog Distributors
    1. Responsible for oversight and success of the booths at all national shows for Catalog Distributors
    2. Ensure that Mindray is invited to all vendor events held by the Catalog Distributors
    3. Track return on investment, attendance, and leads
    4. Work with DSMs on their attendance and engagements for regional trade shows

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge/Educational Requirement

  • A degree in Business Administration/Marketing is strongly preferred
  • Extensive sales experience in capital medical equipment
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions
  • Awareness of competitive products and activities, monitoring and anesthesia products preferred
  • Proficiency in developing and presenting PowerPoint presentations
  • Strong Data Visualization skills preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Commercialization experience between healthcare companies
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Ability to create customer relationships built on trust and be perceived as a consummate professional who possesses the ability to deliver on promises

Physical Demands/Work Environment

Normal home office environment with approximately 40% travel

Extensive customer relationship building and after-hours entertaining
