Director, AI Technical Marketing

Reporting to Equinix's Senior Director, Technical Marketing, the Director Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technical Marketing will provide strategic direction and vision for Equinix's technical marketing strategy and execution for our AI product portfolio, enhancing infrastructure and service offerings. This role requires a deep understanding of AI technologies, market trends, and customer needs. The ideal candidate will ensure that our AI solutions are well-positioned, understood, and adopted by our target audience. This person will create content, including white papers, demo videos and presentations, working with hardware equipment, as well software products from Equinix, and our ecosystem of partners, to replicate real world customer scenarios, testing our solutions and publishing reference architecture and validating design guides.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technical marketing strategy for AI products and partners solutions.
  • Identify market opportunities and trends in AI to guide product development and marketing efforts.
  • Act as a technical spokesperson for Equinix at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Conduct webinars, presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value and capabilities of AI solutions.
  • Create and oversee the production of technical content, including whitepapers, case studies, technical blogs, and solution briefs.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, product datasheets and user guides.
  • Provide technical training and support to the sales teams to enhance their product knowledge and selling capabilities.
  • Collaborate with sales to develop and deliver technical presentations and proposals for key customer engagements around AI.
  • Work closely with the engineering and product management teams to align product features and roadmap with market needs.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze competitor AI products and strategies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to differentiate Equinix's offerings in the market.
  • Track and report on key KPIs related to technical marketing activities.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in technical marketing, product management, or related roles within the data center, networking, or cloud industry.
  • Deep experience in technical marketing, engineering, or product management roles with a focus on AI technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and business value propositions to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving innovation and excellence.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to build consensus and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

* San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $179,000 to $304,000 per year
* California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $172,000 to $293,000 per year
* Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $159,000 to $271,000 per year

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
