Overview

CT&A protects the integrity and reputation of Deutsche Bank. You manage the Bank's risks and help to avoid unintentional rule breaches and conflicts of interest, you also advise on ethical conduct, governance issues and keep our organization up to date on regulatory and political challenges.

As a Team Lead of the Transaction Monitoring Investigations (TMI) Quality Assurance Team CT&A, you would help protect Deutsche Bank from financial and reputational losses incurred by financial crimes by assessing, controlling, and mitigating risks. Reporting to the TMI QA Team Manager in Jacksonville, you will be responsible for reviews of transaction monitoring cases flagged as potentially suspicious transactions, potential adverse media or PEP matches and items flagged as potential matched to designation targets and prohibited persons list; The QA Team Lead will also assist in the development and management of a team of QA Associates conducting quality reviews of alerts and cases worked by the AML Transaction Monitoring team and for validating the research conducted by the QA Transaction Monitoring Associates and ensuring all Deutsche Bank policies and procedures as well as regulatory rules were followed and strengthen and align the Quality Assurance function to global framework and seek to create sustainable synergies globally for AFC Testing and QA and amongst the rest of the AFC & Compliance testing teams (i.e. Compliance Testing and Assurance and Testing).

What You'll Do

  • Conduct thorough reviews of transaction monitoring cases utilizing Deutsche Bank AML systems to detect any activity indicative of money laundering or other suspicious activity

  • Manage a team of QA Associates and Analysts within the TMI QA program

  • Present findings to the TMI QA Lead in a concise and well written manner and if needed, orally present the same

  • Set team deliverables and set timescales to agreed minimum standards and ensuring adherence to regulatory / audit requirements

  • Promote continuous analysis by interpreting relevant industry regulations and Deutsche Bank's Compliance policies to ensure controls are appropriately implemented and monitored for compliance

  • Perform oversight functions and work with monitoring team leads in order to provide feedback and determine focus of reviews

Skills You'll Need

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree

  • Relevant experience in a leadership/management capacity

  • Relevant experience as an AML investigator in a transaction monitoring and SAR writing capacity or equivalent experience or education

  • Ability to identify, escalate and communicate issues to management in an effective and succinct manner

  • Effective decision-making skills and strong problem-solving skills

  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables, macros, filtering, and sorting

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville, FL office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $75,000 to $ 110,750.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
