Job Description:
As an ExploreLearning Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with our team of system and operations engineers to develop our next generation of back-end services for our our award-winning educational products. Our products include a series of highly engaging games that create an exceptional learning experience. For this position, you should have demonstrable experience developing scalable data-centric applications. We are seeking a talented, motivated and experienced software engineer who enjoys building and maintaining large-scale production applications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs and implements Java/Spring applications.
  • Implement features and solutions assigned to support business needs.
  • Should feel that the quality of one's work is a direct result of one's own testing.
  • Will be responsible for handling assignments where no formal QA occurs.
  • Systems developed should behave to a high standard of quality.
  • May work on a multiple projects at a time, balancing needs and deadlines.
  • A software engineer is expected to make progress with minimal or some guidance from management.
  • Troubleshoot problems of a basic to intermediate nature.
  • Would be willing to support systems that they have not implemented.
  • Keep informed of technical advances. Discusses changes based on newer technology.


Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience as a Java Software Engineer
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience with Java, Spring, MS SQL Server
  • Experience building RESTful services
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
