Works in a team environment to repair and maintain electrical equipment such as electrical control circuitry, 120V, 230V, 480V equipment in both single and three phase, and PLCs while being knowledgeable and compliant with established Koppers EH&S policies and procedures related to daily work activities. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, modify, and install electrical circuits
Troubleshoot and modify PLC programs
Troubleshoot and repair motors and drives
Replace faulty electrical components as required
Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed equipment
Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery
Diagnose and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Follow safety procedures, rules and work in a safe manner
Follow detailed work order instructions
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Candidate Qualifications/ Requirements
Minimum of two years' verifiable electrical experience, preferably in an industrial or similar environment
Advanced electrical, hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting skills
PLC programing skills with Allen Bradley/Siemens desired.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Good communication skills both verbal and written
Able to perform mathematical equations necessary for position's essential duties
Reliable transportation
Able to work rotating shifts and short or no notice overtime
Maintain reliable method of contact
Able to recognize and communicate to management any difficulties or problems as related to this position's essential duties and responsibilities
Must be able to work within a team group environment to perform maintenance tasks
