Job Description | The Arts and Humanities Division offers programs and courses in Art + Design, Communication Studies, Digital Media, English, Foreign Languages, History, Interactive Media Production, Music, Philosophy, and Theatre. Additional components of the Division include the WHFC Radio Station, Owl Media, the Chesapeake Gallery, and community performances. The Assistant Dean of Arts and Humanities reports to the Dean of Arts and Humanities and supports the dean in providing administrative management and leadership in the division and in furthering the academic mission and direction of the College. The responsibilities of the Assistant Dean also include: supervising part-time support staff; managing division logistics for dual enrollment; adjunct support; and working closely with division faculty and staff to provide support for initiatives and curriculum and program development that promote student success. This is an exempt position. The incumbent is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package offering medical, dental and vision coverage; generous paid time off; tuition assistance; and retirement savings. Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement. Required Education | A master's degree in one of the disciplines in the Arts and Humanities Division |
Required Experience | 3 years of college level teaching experience in one of the Arts and Humanities disciplines AND 1 year of successful leadership in a higher education setting. |

General Weekly Work Schedule | Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Final schedule to be determined by the supervisor. Some external events evenings/Saturdays as requested. |
