Summary:

Provides child development evaluation services.

Determines goals and plans of treatment.

Administers developmental intervention programming.

Position Responsibilities:

* Demonstrates comprehensive evaluation skills including evaluating the effectiveness of interventions, and modifies plan as appropriate.

* Consults with medical professional, ancillary professionals and other team members/supervisors to provide optimum quality care and effective operations.

* Effectively communicates with family in providing education, strategies and literature in accordance with age, physical condition, developmental level and cultural needs.

* Maintains and completes evaluations, child records, reports and all written documentation effectively and in a timely manner in accordance with regulatory and departmental guidelines.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:

Minimum one year documented professional experience with individuals from birth to five years who have developmental delays and disabilities.

Required Education:

Minimum Bachelor's degree in early childhood education and/or special education.

Training/Certifications/Licensure:

NJ Dept. of Education Certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities.

Coursework in infant and toddler or early childhood development.

Valid driver's license may be required.
