If you're an experienced marketer/communicator looking for an opportunity to work in a truly global environment, Rainin - one of the world's leading manufacturers of premium liquid handling instruments for the life science industry - wants to meet you! We're looking for an experienced and energetic Content Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team. This role is for you if you know how to use creativity and clear, concise language to engage life scientists with content and campaigns spanning print, web and social media.

In addition to being an excellent writer, you know how to develop and manage complex, multifaceted programs to introduce target audiences to new and existing products and enhance customer relationships. You're ambitious, meticulous and highly adaptable and comfortable leading technical and creative teams and producing content that customers and prospects respond to. You have an interest in marketing strategy and desire to think critically to contribute to business success.

Responsibilities
  • You'll be a key contributor our product launch and lead generation programs.
  • Create simple, interesting content that compels target audiences to either buy or engage more deeply in the Rainin brand.
  • Write, edit and manage a wide variety of content, ensuring that each deliverable aligns with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with growth marketing and product marketing to develop content for B2B marketing campaigns across owned and paid media including webinars, website, blog posts, social and other digital channels.
  • Work with the sales team to produce both written and creative content that empowers the sales force, such as posters, flyers, presentations and video. (You will collaborate with our graphic design and video partners to produce creative content.)
  • Write and edit content for product launches like value propositions, messaging and sales enablement tools.
  • Help cultivate and develop a uniquely Rainin style and voice that ensures our material is timely, relevant and accessible.
  • Help manage the Rainin and Mettler Toledo brand elements, ensuring consistency and compliance from products and packaging to print, web and social.

This is a highly collaborative role; you will work with your colleagues in growth marketing, product marketing, marketing operations, video and social media plus external design, writing and engineering partners to achieve success.
What You Need to Succeed

  • 5-7 years of professional content development and project management experience. Marketing strategy and/or brand experience is a plus.
  • Experience writing about science-related topics in a marketing context is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of creating effective content that generates lead/reader response.
  • Solid experience developing content for social media channels with distinct personality/POV to cultivate followers and trigger likes.
  • Ability to make independent decisions, juggle multiple projects and hit short, frequently changing deadlines.
  • Ability to write in a range of styles and tones, from technical to conversational.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excels at making technical content easily understood by non-technical audiences.
Need to Know
  • We work in the Oakland office two days each week (Tuesday and Thursday).
