About This Role:

The Office of the Registrar seeks an Assistant Registrar of Student Services. This position is responsible for the daily management of the student services unit within the office, in partnership with the student services manager. The unit is responsible for items such as enrollment and degree verification, graduation, transcripts, enrollment functions, waivers, athletic compliance, commencement, academic standing, and tuition waivers.

Successful candidates will possess experience in analyzing business processes; interpreting and implementing institutional policies; and providing high-quality service to students, faculty/staff, parents, alumni, and other outside constituents and agencies. Additionally, this position is responsible for residency reclassification reviews for continuous students at the university. This position will lead key system implementations for student services, including managing system/software upgrades within the student information system, imaging systems, and other educational technology systems.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three years relevant experience

This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's Degree
  2. Higher Education/post-secondary experience: Five years progressively responsible experience in Enrollment Management (Admissions, Financial Aid, and Registrar) or experiences directly related area of expertise that interacts with the business processes handled by these offices.
  3. Knowledge of curriculum and catalog processes, student records maintenance, registration/enrollment processes, degree and graduation processes, etc...
  4. Experience reviewing, implementing, or recommending changes to multiple policies and procedures, including university, state, and federal rules and regulations. Knowledge of FERPA a must.
  5. Working knowledge of Student Information Systems platform(s) - i.e. PeopleSoft/Oracle, u.achieve/DARS, Imaging (Perceptive/ImageNow), National Student Clearinghouse, etc....
  6. Three years supervisory experience including but not limited to the direct supervision of 5+ staff, hiring decisions, pay and time card tracking, etc....
  7. Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating situations, making decisions as well as grasp new techniques and updates to products/processes quickly.
  8. Experience working with diverse populations along with providing training and technical development, public speaking, presentations, customer service in higher education-related areas.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range:

$53,581 - $69,633 annually
