Reporting to the Roads and Bridges Administrator in the Department of Assets and Infrastructure (A&I), this field crew Construction Inspector position is responsible for road and bridge construction and maintenance work is completed in the safest manner, consistent with specifications, industry standards, and as directed by superiors. The position works under the direction of the Foreperson, but can receive direction from Roads and Bridges Superintendent and division Administrator. The construction inspector must be task oriented and have ability to track and report project details. Remote reporting using a variety of technology tools is required; successful candidates will have experience using MS Office software at a minimum.

* Ability to walk on uneven terrain;

* Ability to use backhoe, air compressors, and jack hammer;
* Ability to climb, bend, squat, stoop, kneel for various amounts of time during day;
* Ability to handle all Safety Equipment and train others in use of same.
