What You Will Do

As a Contracts Manager, you will report to the Sr Corporate Counsel within Trimble's legal team. You will primarily support the Construction Management Solutions (CMS) division of Trimble in creating, reviewing, negotiating, and administering contracts related to business relationships with customers, vendors, and partners. You will be expected to work independently with internal business clients using templates and playbooks to create, modify, and negotiate contracts that adhere to company requirements and risk tolerance. You should be a highly collaborative person who is able to provide proactive and creative solutions and strategies that are responsive to the needs of internal business clients including product development, partner program, marketing, sales, and services teams.

Key Responsibilites & Duties

  • Contract Creation: Respond to internal business client requests for agreements based on templates with any necessary modifications or customizations.

  • Contract Review: Gather and analyze information related to the scope and risks under the contract; make redlines and comments based on sound logic and rationale with reference to available playbooks, escalating as needed within the legal team; advance contract toward resolution by communicating frequently with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contractual terms and conditions with reference to company requirements and risk tolerance while maintaining professionalism and a customer service-based approach.

  • Organization and Process Management: Proactively identify areas to increase scalability and efficiency in the contracting process, proposing and implementing new policies and procedures as needed.

  • Special projects as assigned.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree, paralegal degree, or paralegal certificate.

  • 3 years' experience working in a corporate legal department in contracts administration, contract negotiation, or a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of contract law and legal principles.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with an aptitude to thrive in a fast paced environment.

  • Outstanding critical thinking skills.

  • Ability to leverage technology to streamline processes.

  • Able to adapt to different situations and work effectively with different groups of people.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Ability to represent the company in a positive and professional manner.

In a hybrid role, you will work with your manager to establish a mutually agreeable schedule for your time working in the office based on the position and the business need. Typically hybrid positions are 1-3 days per week, or 20%-60% of the month in the office.
