Description

Responsible for the overall safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the combustion turbines, reciprocating internal combustion engines (RICE), and/or mobile diesel generators. Subject to rotating shift work. Responds to emergencies, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, some travel is required. Nothing in this job summary restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school education with advance training in Combustion Turbine and/or RICE Technology, or equivalent work experience acceptable to the Company.
  • Ability to analyze problems and take corrective action. Requires a strong mechanical aptitude, adaptability-flexibility, computer and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Possess a valid motor vehicle driver's license. Must be able to perform all the essential functions required of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
  • Must successfully complete the applicable power production home study course.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Five years' experience in combustion gas turbine and/or RICE operations, advanced technical skills in troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical, electrical and/or instrumentation/controls systems, and excellent teamwork skills.

  • Highly motivated self-starter with good written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to exceed the needs of the customer and grow the Company's regulated and non-regulated businesses.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitors status of combustion turbine, RICE, and/or portable generator equipment. Responds to alarms and corrects abnormal conditions to maintain availability.

  • Maintains, inspects, and troubleshoots electrical, instrumentation, turbine controls, mechanical, and emission monitoring equipment.

  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.

Journeyperson Wage - $56.65
