Are you passionate about the beauty industry and driving sales growth? Do you understand the chemical composition, properties, and functions of cosmetic ingredients, as well as their applications in formulations? If so, we invite you to join our team at Clariant as a Senior Regional Sales Manager. This role will support the Care Chemicals business unit in El Segundo, California. You will play a pivotal role in driving sales for the Lucas Meyer Cosmetics portfolio and expanding our market presence in the North American region. This position is a remote opportunity for a tenured and ambitious professional looking for an exciting opportunity to make an impact in the cosmetics industry.


Responsibilities

* Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve yearly revenue targets and expand market share within the North American region
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors to drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting for new customers, negotiating contracts, and securing new accounts to grow the company's market presence
* Manage customer database, identify leads, initiate communication, and ensure follow-up
* Collaborate with the Marketing team to monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to inform sales strategies and capitalize on emerging opportunities
* Track and analyze sales performance metrics, such as revenue, sales volume, and market share, to evaluate the effectiveness of sales initiatives and identify areas for improvement
* Develop sales in line with agreed budget and forecasting
* Define customer strategy to generate profitable sales and manage pricing
* Coordinate with the Lucas Meyers Cosmetic Sales team and customer sites for pipeline management
* Provide visit reports and update account information
* Maintain a clear sales opportunity pipeline
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to support overall business objectives and drive product launches, promotions, and marketing campaigns
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to management


Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Business, or a related field
* Minimum of 8 years of previous industry experience in formulations or selling specialty cosmetic ingredients
* Established customer network in California
* Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting sales goals, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving continuous improvement
* Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitor landscape, and consumer trends
* Multi-tasker, with ability to work well under pressure to handle multiple assignments
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
