Job Description

Position Summary

The Regional Human Resources Manager is responsible for partnering with both Busey Human Resources and leadership in the specific region to collaborate with managers and associates on people-related issues and expectations in alignment with FBC's Personnel Policy. This position is responsible for providing strategic input, insight and advice with respect to associate relations, onboarding, coaching and development, performance and conflict management and associate engagement, as well as executing on other initiatives in their region that relate to regional or corporate initiatives or performance management. This role reports to the Workforce Performance Manager.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesServe as consultant to management on HR related issues including effective communication, team and individual development, associate engagement, practice/policy application and other management challenges. Act as single point of HR and Associate Experience contact for associates in the assigned region; work with other regional HR managers to ensure consistency across the organization. Provide regional onboarding support for new Busey team members, ensuring a seamless transition to the organization including working with managers on the setup, coordination and follow-up of onboarding efforts. Educate, coach and partner with leadership and managers on performance management, conflict management issues, employee feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation and organizational development. Support associate engagement initiatives in the region including execution of action plans and ongoing progress checkpoints-especially for lowest engaged teams-to help increase engagement and leadership effectiveness. Implement the performance management process, supporting manager documentation, communication, timelines and potential termination protocol. Examine exit interview data for the region; provide insights to managers and create action plans, if applicable. Build strong business relationships and partnerships across all levels of the organization and collaborate with leaders to deliver creative solutions around business needs in support of priorities. Support facilitation of Talent Roundtable discussions with regional leadership. Collaborate with the HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top results.

Education & Experience

Knowledge of:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of HR and other labor related laws and policies


Ability to:

  • Maintain confidentiality of associate information
  • Analyze and solve problems based on precedent
  • Make independent decisions
  • Work with little supervision
  • Perform duties and make decisions under frequent time pressures


Education and Training:

  • Associate's/Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Requires 3 or more years of Human Resources experience.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification, requiring continuing education and training in the HR field on an annual basis
  • All levels require knowledge of Microsoft Office.
