As a Materials Coordinator, you will support the ordering, receiving, and distribution of materials in our world-class manufacturing facility.

A Day In The Life

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enter, receive and follow up on orders for Kanban material; conduct regular walkthroughs to verify on hand inventory in addition to checking Kanban boards daily
  • Establish and sustain relationships with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Accounting and Suppliers
  • Coordinate material issue resolutions between production and buyers
  • Complete material transfers
  • Forecast upcoming Vendor Managed and Kanban material requirements; order and expedite material as necessary
  • Supply material to internal customers
  • Write NCN's for missing, defective and/or damaged material
  • Acquire RMA's for defective Kanban items to be returned
  • Facilitate the movement of surplus material in and out of inventory
  • Determine root cause and translate data entry into metrics
  • Update material locations and enter priority notes in material database
  • Participate in cycle counting and annual physical inventory
  • File any claims for incoming damaged materials
