Web Developer, Lead

The Opportunity:

We are looking for someone with a passion for web development, design, and data visualization to create intuitive modern full-stack web applications. We are a cross-functional team of software engineers, data scientists, and modelers. As a lead developer on our team, you'll be responsible for building full-stack tools and dynamic visualizations that communicate analytic findings, tell stories with data, and allow users to interact with data models and algorithms. You'll work with a group of experienced developers who strive to bring cutting-edge commercial best practices in API and web development to our clients. No two projects will be the same, with potential challenges, including building full-stack applications connecting data with interactive dashboards, constructing interactive charts, maps, and 3D models that give clients the ability to dive deep in their data, and leading your own development of static and dynamic applications based on your interests and expertise.

You Have:

  • Experience with web development, using HTML, JavaScript, or CSS
  • Experience with a modern web framework, including React, Angular, Svelte, or Vue
  • Experience with TypeScript
  • Experience creating RESTful web services utilizing APIs
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with Python
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to use JS visualization libraries, including D3.js and Leaflet
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with design tools, including AdobeXD and Figma
  • Experience creating and modifying web servers and databases
  • Experience with state management libraries, including Redux and NGXS
  • Experience with DevOps tools, including GitHub, JIRA, and Jenkins
  • Experience with AWS or Azure
  • Knowledge of data visualization or UI and UX
  • Knowledge of UI and UX design principles and methodology
  • Knowledge of 508 compliance

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
