Job/Internship Description

What You Can Expect

As our Commission Intern, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payments and reporting to our internal stakeholders and external broker partners. This internship position requires self-management to complete routine tasks that affect financial reporting and data integrity accurately and on time. You will be exposed to and expected to contribute to key operational billing and commissions functions within independent and cross-functional team projects. You should be capable of working with our third-party vendors, both independently and as part of a team, to provide best-in-class service for our internal and external customers. This position requires a commitment of up to 40 hours per week. This internship program spans from July 2024 to August 2024.

  • Learn and understand how to calculate all available commission payment plans
  • Assist manager on various projects that involve broker system enhancements, product development, market changes
  • Process monthly sales commissions and deliver detailed statements to external broker partners
  • Review and respond to internal and external email correspondence through our commissions Freshdesk in a timely fashion
  • Provide cross-functional support to peers and departments to develop satisfactory end-to-end delivery processes and results
  • Look for and execute on opportunities to streamline and create efficiencies in existing broker commissions processes

What You'll Bring

  • You are at least a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or a related field
  • You are an independent thinker with a desire to find positive solutions
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address data concerns
  • You possess a focus on customer experience, whether for internal customers or partners
  • You are proficient in advanced PC skills
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skill, detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills
  • You possess a high degree of reliability, strong ethics, productive and efficient, with a fast turn-around time, a team player with the ability to work well with others

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy, three (3) days in the Houston, TX office
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

Hourly Range: $21.00- $25.00 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
