We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist - Recruiter to join our dynamic team at BKF Engineers! As an HR Generalist / Recruiter, you will play a crucial role in managing the full recruitment life cycle and providing comprehensive HR support to our organization. You will have the opportunity to work closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, execute recruitment strategies, and ensure the successful onboarding of new employees. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about talent acquisition and enjoys building strong relationships with candidates and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and evaluating candidates
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies
  • Conduct reference checks and extend employment offers to selected candidates
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with candidates, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
  • Act as a point of contact to answer candidate queries and provide updates on the status of their applications
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting new hire orientations and exit interviews
  • Assist with employee relations issues and provide guidance on disciplinary actions and performance management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in HR and recruitment
  • Foster strong relationships within BKF.
  • Collect and analyze data and metrics to inform and support business decisions and planning as needed.
  • Maintain applicant tracking system
  • Support West Coast college university career fairs, participate in STEM Outreach, and lead other public and departmental recruitment-related events.
  • Periodic travel to other BKF offices or off-site locations may be required.
  • Assist with other projects and assignments as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, with a focus on recruitment
  • Proven track record of successfully recruiting for a variety of positions across different levels and functions with a preference for AEC industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and tools, including ATS and LinkedIn Recruiter. Experience with Jobvite, Workable, and UKG a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Professional certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems

  • The anticipated salary range for this position will be $28 - $42 an hour and will varydepending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
