Job Description

Staffmark has partnered with a leading food distribution company in the area to fill the position of an HR Generalist. Salary: $60,000 - $80,000/yr.
Schedule: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday

The HR Generalist works closely with Sales management in participating in multiple Human Resources functions such as recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, training, record keeping, performance management, policy implementation, communication, and employment law compliance.

Job tasks:
  • Recruit, interview, and make employment offers to candidates
  • Coordinate pre-employment background screening and drug testing
  • Assist with new employee onboarding
  • Participate in performance evaluations and performance management
  • Ensure company benefits are submitted and completed for employees
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of HR Generalist experience
  • Experience working within a production/manufacturing environment- food production or related regulated environment is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related discipline
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience using an HRIS system
