Maintaining all electrical and some mechanical aspects of the pipeline system with the intent to minimize thruput losses due to malfunctioning equipment is the focus of our Electrical Technicians. If you enjoy resolving electrical and mechanical components, then please apply now and join our team!

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure thatelectrical maintenance work is performed in compliance with regulations and company O&M procedure requirements.

  • Adhere to Company safety and work policies.

  • Perform emergency response first responder duties.

  • Complete all mandatory safety and technical training.

  • Complete all required Operator Qualified(OQ) training and certifications.

  • Develop and implement equipment lock-outs and routine open system job plans.

  • Maintain, calibrate, and solve pipeline system electrical equipment: substation equipment, medium voltage switchgear, VFDs, 480V systems, PLC systems, instrumentation systems, petroleum quality systems, and measurement systems.

  • Use maintenance management system, i.e. Maximo, to document maintenance work.

  • Collaborate with theArea Supervisor, otherElectrical Technicians, Mechanical Technicians, Technical Specialists, and PLM, to plan, schedule, and complete maintenance work efficiently and effectively

  • Assist Electrical &Mechanical Technicians inwork group atvarious locationsas required.

  • Maintain terminal and station records and update drawings as required.

  • Submit as-built drawings to drafting department to ensure area drawings are up to date.

  • Assist project teams with construction projects as assigned: design reviews, Hazops, pre-bid tours, pre-construction meetings, mechanical equipment installation, and equipment commissioning.

  • Communicate with and maintain a positive working relationship with the Control Center operators, Operations and Maintenance personnel, and other internal and external stakeholders.

  • Perform station housekeeping activities.

  • Responsible for site security.

Who you are:

You have the following education and/or experience:

  • High School Diploma accompanied by Technical or Vocational education

  • Excellent trouble shooting ability.

  • Valid driver's license & excellent driving record.

  • Must live (or relocate) within 25 miles of the reporting location.

  • Electrical Journeyman or participation in an accredited Apprenticeship Program preferred.

  • Industrial experience with HVAC/R preferred.

  • Experience in maintenance of crude oil pipeline system, pumping station(s) or delivery facilities or certified technical designation preferred.

  • Familiarity with pertinent equipment (pumps, motors, valves, switchgear, flow meters, programmable logic controls, motor control centers, uninterruptible power supplies and instrumentation) preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 85 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 100 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement, grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
