Idaho National Laboratory is hiring an entry level Modeling & Simulation Professional to work in our Computational Frameworks department on our MOOSE team. Our team works a 9x80 or schedule located out of our C3 facility with every other Friday off.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work on the open-source modeling and simulation platform, MOOSE, responding to tickets, and supporting programmatic objectives as part of the team.
  • You must be a strong asset to the MOOSE team and work both in isolation and as an enthusiastic member of the team.
  • Take direction from other team members and peers, and also provide input in a constructive manner to others while maintaining a positive and professional relationships.
  • Documentation of work is required, which typically requires authorship of technical reports and research papers for refereed journals and proceedings
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming concepts, modern C++, Python, Message-passing Interface (MPI), and scientific computing workflows.
  • Background in one or more physics areas such as mechanics, fluids, materials, or nuclear engineering.

Job Information:

  • The pay range for this position is $63,528.00 - $130,284.00. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
